Christmas Hampers

For many Christmas is not a time filled with festivity and hope, but it can be...because Santa's got lots of help here!

Each year the Alexandra Centre Society comes together to carefully organize, assemble, and distribute food hampers that bring comfort, joy, and warm respite from hard times, because everyone should feel the true spirit of Christmas!

The Alexandra Centre Society provided Christmas hampers to 92 families within our local service area for our 2018 season!  193 people were served including 50 seniors and 67 children.

With the help of..

  • community service agencies who refer families & individuals in need;
  • local businesses, merchants, corporate groups, and individual donors who give generously to our cause;
  • our dedicated volunteers who put in hundreds of hours to help us bring it all together

We are happily accepting sponsorships for groceries to support families and individuals, for our 2019 program.

$75 supports and individual;

$150 supports a family of 2;

$300 supports a family of 4;

$450 supports a family of 6.

Any amount contributed really does make a difference in helping sponsor groceries for those who need it!

Our goal is to raise $10,000.

We are also happily accepting in-kind donations of:

-Reusable shopping bags (new or gently used);

-New socks, mittens, toques, and scarves for men, women, and children;

-Grocery store gift certificates in $10 increments so that families can buy necessities;

-Senior Citizen gifts (playing cards, puzzles, books, treats, blankets, etc.);

-Non-perishable food items.

CLIENTS: *Please be advised that a referral from a social worker or service agency is required to access our Christmas Hamper Program.*  Please have your social worker or service agency contact our office via e-mail at for our referral form.  Referral forms are not given out to clients directly. Thank you!
