Please review all of the items before placing an order with our staff.

  1. Ordering will only be available through e-mail to .  Please order by the end of the day on July 12, 2021
  2. We will only be accepting payment through e-transfer at this time.  Only orders with confirmed receipt of payment will be confirmed and ordered.
  3. Confirmed orders will be scheduled for a pick-up time.  Your e-mail confirming your order and payment will contain instructions to booking your pick-up time at the Centre.
  4. Box pick-up will be in our Alexandra Dance Hall space, which is the only entrance on the 9th AVENUE side of the building.  Picking up from our Alexandra Dance Hall will allow more spacing between boxes, and for each guest entering our facility.
  5. Pick-up time is scheduled for July 22, 2021, between 1:00pm and 5:00pm.  Please only order if you are able to commit to picking up during this time frame.  Any boxes that are not picked up during this time frame will be forfeited, as we have no way to store them in a safe manner. 
  6. Area residents in the communities of Inglewood, Ramsay, East Village, and Beltline Victoria Park:  If you are in self-isolation or quarantine, we have volunteers able to help with delivery.  When ordering please let us know if you will require delivery, so we can find a volunteer.
  7. ANYONE who is SICK with cold-like symptoms such as cough, fever, runny nose, sore throat, or shortness of breath, MUST NOT ENTER THE ALEXANDRA CENTRE.  Remember to self-isolate if you are feeling sick.  Have a back-up plan to have someone help you with picking up your box for you if you are feeling sick.
  8. Due to social distancing measures staff and volunteers will not be able to help with lifting or bringing items out of the Centre.  Please make sure your bring what you need to get your food out of the Centre yourself.
  9. The Good Food Box program is run by the Community Kitchen of Calgary, and is dependent on their operations.  The Good Food Box Manager ensures us that their operations are still currently up and running, and they plan to stay that way.  If anything changes with the Good Food Box and orders are unable to be filled by the Good Food Box Program, the Alexandra Center Society will refund any unfulfilled orders.  Forfeited boxes are not refundable.

Although public health measures are in place to quickly identify potential cases, all Albertans must take personal steps to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

To help protect yourself and others:

  • Masks are required indoors at the Alexandra Centre;
  • practice physical distancing;
  • wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds;
  • cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your elbow;
  • avoid touching your face with unwashed hands;
  • avoid travel outside Canada;
  • watch for COVID-19 symptoms: cough, fever, shortness of breath, runny nose, or sore throat;
  • Follow mandatory isolation requirements:
    • 14 days if you recently returned from travel outside of Canada or are a close contact of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, plus an additional 10 days from the onset of symptoms, should they occur, whichever is longer;
    • 10 days minimum if you develop any COVID-19 symptoms, or until the symptoms resolve, whichever is longer.
